The son of Yauvanas’va was S’rîmân Mândhâtâ; he became the Lord of the Earth and for the satisfaction of the Devî Bhagavatî had one thousand and eight palaces built in Benares and in the other chief places of pilgrimages.

180 Aksauhinî

 Then, from various quarters, the kings assembled together; and Yudhâjit, too, came there accompanied by his daughter’s son, S’atrujit.

  1. The King of Karûsa, 
  2. the King of Madra, 
  3. the King of Sindhu, 
  4. the King of Mâhîsmatî, 
  5. the valiant warriors, 
  6. the King of Pânchâla, 
  7. the kings of the mountainous tract, 
  8. the King of Karnat, 
  9. the powerful King of Kâmarûpa, 
  10. the King of Chola, and 
  11. the very powerful King of Vidarbhas 
with 180 Aksauhinî soldiers all arrived and assembled there. Benares was then crowded all over with soldiers and soldiers.
